Family Vision Foundation

Family Vision Foundation exists to provide educational, emotional, material and community support to the most vulnerable members of society -- especially children. We believe that many of society's fundamental problems can be traced to a lack of care for our fellow humans. Our mission, therefore, is to encourage people everywhere to live the values of care, respect and inclusion. We do this through unique educational and community development programmes.
THE SAD FACTS: There are 444 million children in India under the age of 18 years. This constitutes 37% of the total population in the country. The truth of the matter is that:
-- 1 in 4 children of school-going age does not go to school,
-- India has 33 million working children between the ages of 5-18 years.
-- 3 out of 5 children are malnourished,
-- 8.5 lakh children die before their first birthday each year
-- Over the last decade, crimes against children have increased 5 times.
The only way to preserve our future as a nation is by strengthening the weakest section of our society - our children.
