Did you know it just takes 4 glucose biscuits a day to inspire these rag-picker children to come to school? If they know there is a little snack for them every evening, they will come to school and attend for 2 hours in the evening. 4 glucose biscuits. That's all.

To be honest, we had never done a medical camp before. - Our field of expertise is educational, emotional and community support.

But the need of the hour was a medical camp in a slum. We had no clue where to start so we called our homeopath friend for advice on how to go about such an endeavour . He suggested we call a professional colleague of his. So we called her - just for advice - but she took on the whole project and had Sir Gangaram hospital sent a fully equipped, huge mobile clinic with doctors to Pochanpur slum. 100 people received free treatment that day. Heartfelt thanks to the Sir Gangaram Community Outreach team and Dr. Kamal Puri.

Sometimes you just have to start. And then God sends good people to do all the rest.

For want of a cake of soap, a child has boils. For want of a toothbrush, his teeth go bad. For want of a towel, she hesitates to have a bath.

It doesn't take much to solve these problems. A few kind souls sponsor hygiene kits. And 200 children's hygiene improves dramatically!  The boils on their bodies diminish. They stop falling sick so often.

And all it took was a little bit of concern.  ]]>
